Ukrainian Finance Minister: Over $42 Billion in International Aid This Year

Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated today, Wednesday, that "more than $42 billion in international aid has flowed into Ukraine's budget this year." In comments to the Ukrainian version of Forbes, Marchenko said, "We are ending the budget year with very significant achievements regarding attracting international aid. So far, we have successfully attracted over $42 billion in international assistance to cover budget needs." Earlier, Ukrainian parliament member Oleksandra Ostenieva mentioned that "gaps in the state budget are being filled with the help of Western funding, and if aid from the United States stops, the authorities will have to extend a hand to the G7 countries."
