A UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) official, Richard Kozul Wright, stated today, Thursday, that "Gaza will need a new Marshall Plan to recover from the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas." He added that "the damages already equal about four times what the sector experienced in a previous war." During a UN meeting in Geneva, he mentioned that "this will require a new Marshall Plan," referring to the economic recovery plan for Europe after World War II. He noted that "the damages are already four times those inflicted on Gaza during the seven-week war in 2014."
