Kremlin: Any Peace Summit Excluding Russia is Just "Nonsense"

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated in an interview published today, Tuesday, that any global peace summit regarding Ukraine that excludes Russia is merely "nonsense" and will fail. Peskov added to the newspaper "Argumenty i Fakty": "Russia continues its two-year war on Ukraine to protect itself from the West." He said in the interview conducted last Thursday, one day before the random shooting at a concert hall outside Moscow, "Can the Ukrainian issue be resolved without Russia's participation? The answer is clear: No, it cannot." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for an international peace summit, and Switzerland stated earlier this year that it would host the conference, with the date and details being discussed.
