Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov confirmed today that Moscow is prepared to organize a new meeting for Palestinian factions on its territory to address the issue of forming a national unity government. He stated in an interview with Sputnik, "We are always ready to welcome them (the Palestinian factions) whenever they deem it possible for themselves. But in principle, there is a desire on their part for this." He added, "We are in constant contact with all Palestinian representatives." Consultations involving all Palestinian factions took place in Moscow on February 29 and March 1, where a joint statement was adopted, confirming the factions' "determination to continue dialogue to achieve comprehensive national unity that includes all Palestinian forces and factions within the Palestine Liberation Organization."
