US-British Airstrikes Target Mount Jada in Al Hudaydah

Yemeni media reported this Sunday evening that US-British airstrikes targeted Mount Jada in the Al-Lahijah area of Al Hudaydah province in Yemen. The "Al-Masirah" channel stated that the coastal district of Al-Lahijah, overlooking the Red Sea, was subjected to US-British bombardment on Sunday. The channel noted that the province's skies witnessed intensive flying by warplanes and US reconnaissance drones.

The US-British coalition carried out 73 airstrikes targeting the capital Sana'a and the provinces of Al Hudaydah, Taiz, Hajjah, and Saada on Friday, January 12, while a separate airstrike occurred on Saturday against the Dailami base in Sana'a. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that the strikes against the Houthis targeted radar systems and infrastructure for drones and missiles, indicating that "this operation aims to disrupt and weaken the Houthis' ability to endanger sailors and threaten international trade."

In turn, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that the strikes against the Houthis in Yemen were "limited, necessary, and proportionate." The Ansar Allah group emphasized that "the aggression will not go unanswered, and the confrontation will not stop."
