The center's report confirmed that the quake occurred at 10:29 local time (05:29 Moscow time) in the city of Chaozhou, Yunnan Province. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers. It is noteworthy that last Wednesday, Taiwan experienced its strongest earthquake in 25 years, which resulted in at least 9 fatalities and over 800 injuries, causing damage to dozens of buildings and prompting authorities to issue tsunami warnings.
