Iranian Army Chief: Israel's Time is Over

The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army, Mohammad Baqeri, indicated that "the Israeli attack on the consulate in Damascus will not go unanswered," holding the United States primarily responsible for it. Baqeri stated during the funeral ceremonies for martyr General in the Revolutionary Guard Mohammad Reza Zahdi, who was killed along with others in the raid: "Let Israel know that its time has come to an end and its demise is nearing." He pointed out that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, launched by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023, was a fateful operation and represents an irreparable defeat for the Israeli occupation." Baqeri considered that "the Israeli occupation is caught in the quagmire of the Gaza war, and it cannot withdraw from it or continue it." He concluded by saying: "The enemy will regret its actions, and we are the ones who will determine the method of retaliation."
