The Central Religious Administration for Muslims of Russia expressed its shock upon receiving news of the terrorist attack targeting the "Crocus City Hall" in the suburbs of Moscow on Friday evening. The Chief Mufti of Russia, Tal'at Taj al-Din, called for unity against terrorism and extremism.
In a statement, the administration said: "We were deeply shocked by the news of the heinous crime committed on March 22, 2024, at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow by militants from terrorist organizations against the civilian population in our country. On behalf of the Central Religious Administration for Muslims of Russia, we express our outrage and strongly condemn this despicable act that is against humanity. We express our profound sorrow and sympathy to the victims' families and wish for a swift recovery for all the injured. In the face of this terrible tragedy, we urge all our citizens to unite efforts more closely in the shared struggle against this contemporary plague that threatens humanity—extremism and terrorism."
