The Egyptian artist Sherine Reda launched an attack on her retired colleague Abeer Galal El Sharakawy after she mocked her only daughter "Noor Amr Diab" when Noor announced her move to live with her fiancé. Sherine Reda stated during her appearance on the program "Al-Arafah" with the media personality Basma Wahba: "This person is mentally ill; when she thinks like a young girl and insults her, what does that make her? She's obviously empty and mentally ill."
Sherine continued her remarks about Abeer: "I have nothing else to say about her. Didn't she retire to stay home? Isn't it shameful for her to say such things, especially since she has also covered herself? Isn't that a sin?"
Abeer El Sharakawy had previously attacked Noor Amr Diab in a post she published on her Facebook account, saying: "The daughter of Amr Diab and what she's doing is disgusting and repulsive beyond measure. My girl, if you are tested, then conceal it." Abeer’s attack on Noor came after Noor announced her move to live with her fiancé.
