The Egyptian government has revealed the end date for electricity load shedding, addressing rumors about extending power cuts to 3 hours with the resumption of the load shedding plan after the end of Ramadan. In television statements, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Cabinet, Mohamed Al-Homsani, clarified that this news is incorrect, confirming that the load shedding plan will follow the same schedule as before Ramadan.
Al-Homsani indicated that prior to Ramadan, load shedding lasted for two hours, from 11 AM to 5 PM, with two hours allocated to each area, and that this arrangement will continue unchanged. Regarding the end date for the load shedding plan, he stated that the issue is being monitored by the Prime Minister and that the state is working to overcome economic challenges; once resources become available, load shedding will cease.
He added: "Citizens need to support the state, and load shedding will end as soon as resources are provided; the state is capable of overcoming the load shedding issue."
