Counter-Terrorism Office in Bekaa Arrests Wanted Individual

Information was received by the Counter-Terrorism and Important Crimes Office - Bekaa in the Judicial Police Unit regarding the movement of a wanted individual on the main road in Baalbek, driving a stolen "Kia Rio" car. The suspect is identified as: A. M. (born in 1996, Lebanese). On December 4, 2023, after surveillance and tracking operations conducted by office personnel, a force was dispatched to the location and managed to arrest the suspect after confirming his identity. A quantity of drugs was found in his possession. It was also revealed that the car he was driving had been stolen around a month ago from the city of Sidon. Legal measures were taken against him, and the car was returned to its owner in accordance with the directives of the competent judiciary, as reported by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division.
