John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, indicated in an interview with ABC News on Sunday that the "reduction of Israeli military forces in southern Gaza seems to be rest and renewal and does not necessarily indicate any new operations." Kirby stated, "As we understand it and through their announcements, it is only about providing rest and renewal for these forces... and we are not saying it necessarily indicates any upcoming new operations for these forces."
