U.S. President Joe Biden believes that Israel is beginning to lose support in the face of the random bombing of Gaza, and that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "must replace his government." Biden stated in remarks reported by Reuters that "the safety of the Jewish people is literally at stake." He added, "Netanyahu needs to change the Israeli government to find a long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict... the current government is the most extreme in Israel's history and does not want a two-state solution." Biden's statements come ahead of a scheduled visit by U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to Israel on Thursday, which is his first visit since the outbreak of the war. Netanyahu stated on Tuesday evening that there are disagreements with the United States regarding the post-war scenario in Gaza, asserting that the Fatah movement "will not be there" after the war. He also added, "I will not allow Israel to repeat the Oslo mistake... Gaza will not be (Hamasland) or (Fatahland)."
