Attempt to Cross Deir Al-Bayda Checkpoint: Here's What Happened! (Photos)

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Thursday, stating: "Around 6:30 PM on 16-09-2023, members of the Deir Al-Bayda checkpoint in the regional gendarmerie suspected an individual heading towards Beirut in a red Nissan Tiida. When the officers requested him to stop on the right side of the road (inspection area), he fled. The officers then set up metal barriers in front of the vehicle to stop it, resulting in punctures to its tires, but the suspect continued his escape. He was pursued until he was apprehended and the vehicle was seized. It was found that he is named M. H. (born in 1997, Syrian) and there is an active search and investigation report against him for theft. He and the vehicle were taken to the Deir Al-Bayda police station for further investigation under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
