On Tuesday, Joseph Khalil, the Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, issued three decisions related to deadline extensions. The first decision states: "The deadline for submitting the annual income tax declaration on salaries and wages (Form R5), individual annual statements (Form R6), and the total annual statement (Form R7) for the year 2022 is extended until March 28, 2024, inclusively, along with the payment of tax if required."
The second decision mentions: "The deadline for submitting financial stamp declarations related to institutions subject to periodic payments (public institutions, municipalities, public utility water projects, social security institutions, and franchised companies) for the fourth quarter of 2023 is extended until March 15, 2023, inclusively, along with the payment of the related stamp duty."
The third decision states: "The deadline for submitting the annual income tax declaration on salaries and wages (Form R5), individual annual statements (Form R6), and the total annual statement (Form R7) for the year 2023 is extended until March 28, 2024, inclusively, along with the payment of tax if required."
According to the ministry's statement, "These decisions are made to provide taxpayers the opportunity to comply and avoid penalties."
