Local police announced on Saturday that 11 people were injured when a Bulgarian tourist ship collided with a concrete wall in a passage on the Danube River in a town in northern Austria last night. A spokesperson for the nearby town of Eferding stated that approximately 160 passengers were on board the ship, which was traveling from Bavaria in Germany to the Austrian city of Linz. The spokesperson added that the 11 injured individuals were taken to the hospital, and the ship was able to continue its journey after the incident. It remains unclear how serious the injuries are. Local media reported that six others sustained less serious injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
