UNIFIL: Concern Over Escalating Violence Across the Blue Line

UNIFIL expressed concern regarding the "escalation of violence occurring across the Blue Line at present, which has resulted in a significant number of civilian casualties, destruction of homes, and livelihoods." It emphasized in a statement the need for this escalation to "stop immediately, urging all parties to lay down their arms and begin working towards a sustainable political and diplomatic solution." UNIFIL affirmed that it "will remain ready to support this process in any possible way, including by convening a tripartite meeting at the request of the parties."
