A horrifying video recorded a man with a rifle shooting his wife three times, resulting in her death, yet he was later sentenced to only 10 years in prison. The details reveal that a Texas man, Carey Birmingham, 60, shot his 48-year-old wife Patricia after discovering she was having an affair.
The murder was captured on video, and despite the overwhelming evidence, Birmingham will spend only 10 years in prison, with a maximum sentence being 20 years. In the disturbing footage, Birmingham is seen driving into their Spring, Texas home, wearing a bathrobe and holding a rifle. He can be heard telling his wife, "Alright, goodbye. You’re going to meet Jesus; I hope it’s worth it," before shooting her three times.
The shooting occurred while their daughter Olivia was at school, following a 30-minute argument between the couple. Audio obtained by ABC13 included several minutes of conversation between them, which played a significant role in the trial.
