Exclusion of Rublev from Dubai Tennis Championship

Russian Andrey Rublev was disqualified today, Friday, from his match against Alexander Bublik in the semifinals of the Dubai Tennis Championship due to shouting at the line judge during the third set of the match. In a chaotic match where both players protested the officials' decisions, the main umpire decided to exclude Rublev for unsportsmanlike conduct. Bublik was awarded the match win, having regained his composure after losing the first set, leading 6-7, 7-6, and 6-5. This marks the second consecutive failure for Rublev to reach the finals of the championship after losing in last year's title match against Daniil Medvedev. Medvedev, the tournament's top seed, will face fifth seed French player Hugo Humbert in the semifinals.
