Title: The Asmar Deputy: We Want a President Made in Lebanon

Member of the "Strong Republic" bloc, MP Said Asmar, expressed regret that there are no solutions to the presidential crisis, stating that some act as if the presidential elections are a private matter while infringing on the constitution. In an interview with "Lebanon Free," he confirmed, "We will not allow the election of a president from March 8 that leads Lebanon into the unknown. There is no majority for the president of the 'Marada' movement, Sleiman Frangieh, and open sessions are the solution. We will not accept normalizing the vacuum, nor do we want a president who protects the back of 'Hezbollah.' Instead, we want a president made in Lebanon and desire the best relations with Arab countries."

Asmar emphasized that the Lebanese Forces is playing the role of "the protector" by attempting to unify the opposition ranks. He pointed out that the choice of the "Free Patriotic Movement" remains as it was before, with their goal being quotas based on "me or no one." He noted that they are still in the embrace of "Hezbollah" and do not want to give up the Ministry of Energy because they know that whoever succeeds them will expose the embezzlements and improve electricity.

In response to a question, Asmar confirmed that the Lebanese Forces is far from the quota system, stating, "Our goal is to build a strong state; we do not carry the slogan 'they didn’t allow us,' and we are the spearhead toward achieving a Lebanon that resembles us. We will not surrender to their Lebanon."
