The Office for the Care of People with Disabilities, under the patronage and presence of Maronite Patriarch Bechara Raï, held a meeting titled "Together We Witness" in Bkerke, attended by the Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Ziad Makari, along with a large number of media personnel, journalists, specialists, and activists working with and for people with disabilities. At the end of the meeting, Raï delivered a speech in which he said: "First, I would like to thank God who has spoken to us through everything we heard from the lectures and interventions, and even through the minister's speech. All these matters made me appreciate God's gifts in humans as if disability is a gift." He also thanked the media "that will work to support our brothers and sisters with special needs." Additionally, the Minister of Information announced that Lebanon's television will soon start adopting sign language in some of its programs.
