Tehran: Washington's Air Aid to Gaza

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said today, Monday, that the United States' air aid to the Gaza Strip is a ridiculous display. It expressed hope that "we witness regional and international deterrent actions to end the Israeli barbarism in Gaza during the month of Ramadan." It pointed out that "Washington is responsible for the continuation of the war in Gaza and can end it if there is political will." It added: "America is a party in the war on Gaza and is responsible for initiating it, continuing it, and preventing its conclusion."

The war in Gaza entered its 157th day today, amid ongoing Israeli bombardment from the north to the south of the region, while residents are facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis reaching the brink of famine as Ramadan begins. A number of countries are working to send aid by air to Gaza due to the Israeli authorities not allowing aid to enter by land. In this context, the U.S. military, in coordination with Jordan, Egypt, and France, dropped over 70,000 meals in northern Gaza last week. Videos documented incidents of humanitarian aid parachutes falling incorrectly in Gaza, resulting in casualties and injuries among the residents.
