Israeli Airstrikes Target Southern Villages and Towns as Hezbollah Continues to Respond

The Israeli warplanes launched an attack on the outskirts of the towns of Blida and Mehoubayb, firing two missiles at the area, which did not explode. The Israeli air force carried out an airstrike targeting the towns of Marwahin and Aita al-Shaab. The Israeli escalation continues with further airstrikes on southern towns, the latest of which targeted the towns of Aitaroun, Aita al-Shaab, and Marwahin.

An artillery shell fell in the Marjeyoun plain, where the Israeli army, in recent days, has relied on intimidating farmers and shepherds in the area by firing artillery shells near them to scare them into retreating. Recently, two artillery shells were fired at a farmer and a shepherd in the plain. The Israeli air force conducted strikes targeting a house in the town of Khyam and a house in the town of Alama al-Shaab in the western sector of southern Lebanon, without causing any injuries. Furthermore, Israeli artillery targeted the Marjeyoun plain and the surrounding area of the town of Khyam in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli warplanes also, around 11:15 AM today, carried out an airstrike targeting a house in the town of Aitaroun, launching two air-to-ground missiles, which resulted in the destruction of the house. In response, Hezbollah announced that its members "targeted a gathering of enemy soldiers opposite the town of Wazzani with appropriate weapons, hitting their targets accurately." In another statement, Hezbollah declared that they targeted "the espionage equipment at the Al-Asi site with 14.5 machine guns, achieving a direct hit."
