Murder of a Yemeni Youth in America During Armed Robbery

A Yemeni young man holding American nationality was killed on Sunday evening by gunfire from an armed robbery gang in South Carolina, located in the southeastern United States. This incident marks the second of its kind in less than a week. According to Yemeni sources, the Yemeni expatriate, Yusuf Abdu Mohammed Al-Saidi, whose origins trace back to the Al-Shaar district in Ibb Governorate, Yemen, was killed while working at the store that was targeted in the armed robbery.

Last Tuesday, on the second day of Ramadan, another young man named Khalid Al-Khayli was killed in a shooting during an armed robbery at the store he worked in, located in Stockton, California, in the western United States. Since the beginning of this year, four Yemeni expatriate youths have been killed by what are referred to as "store robbery gangs," including Majid Al-Izani, who was killed in January in Oakland, California; Shahab Al-Khaneshli in February in Memphis, Tennessee; Khalid Al-Khayli on the second day of Ramadan in California; and most recently, Yusuf Al-Saidi.
