Spain Drops 26 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "Spanish military aircraft dropped 26 tons of humanitarian aid for the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip today, Wednesday, and Madrid called on Israel to open the land border crossings to prevent famine." The statement mentioned that during the operation, conducted in coordination with Jordan and jointly funded by the European Union, more than 11,000 food packages were dropped to alleviate the "catastrophic levels of food insecurity" facing up to 1.1 million people in Gaza. It added that "Spain insists on opening the land crossings as an essential measure to avoid famine."
