After the heavy rains that fell in the past few hours, and the floods that gathered in some valleys, the Jezzine Waterfall has come back to life, carrying large amounts of water. Although it is small compared to the numerous waterfalls around the world, the Jezzine Waterfalls are considered one of the most magnificent natural landmarks in Lebanon, distinguished by the breathtaking green nature surrounding it. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful tourist spots in southern Lebanon. The Jezzine Waterfall returns this year, filled with large quantities of rainwater and floods.
You reach the approximately 80-meter-high Jezzine Waterfalls by passing through a beautiful road among the highlands and mountain valleys covered with massive ancient trees like Lebanese cedar, pine, and oak. This narrow road can barely accommodate more than one vehicle. After that, you will have to walk through forests filled with the sounds of singing birds to reach the Jezzine Waterfall. There, you will see the enchanting view of water cascading from the heights into what resembles a river, and you will enjoy the stunning natural beauty surrounding the waterfalls with trees, green plants, colorful flowers, and various types of birds flying above and around the waterfall's waters, providing a unique opportunity for relaxation and contemplation as you listen to the sounds of flowing water.
Near the Jezzine Waterfalls, there are many beautiful Lebanese restaurants offering delicious dishes with wonderful views of nature, among them is the Shalouf Restaurant, which provides a view of the Bkassin forests and a variety of Lebanese cuisine. The Jezzine Waterfalls are located in the town of Jezzine in Sidon, notable for its proximity to prominent historical and natural landmarks such as the Sidon Sea Castle, the Bzarkan Market (old Sidon market), and the Naqoura, among many other distinctive tourist attractions in southern Lebanon.
