Title: Varane: "Manchester United" Not Afraid of Haaland

Title: Varane:

Rafael Varane, defender for Manchester United, stated that they are not afraid of Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City, ahead of the FA Cup final. However, he acknowledged that their opponents pose a threat in every area of the field. United will play in the final tomorrow, Saturday, looking to end the Premier League champions' bid for a second title this season, as Pep Guardiola's team seeks a rare treble while preparing for the Champions League final against Inter Milan on June 10. United is the only team to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in the same season, doing so in 1999.

Haaland scored 52 goals in his first season in England and won the Golden Boot for the Premier League's top scorer with 36 goals, earning several Player of the Year awards. The French defender told the British newspaper The Telegraph: "Fear? Impossible. Why? Yes, he is a very good player, we all know that. But the danger from City is everywhere; they are a very complete team."

Varane added, "They can score from set pieces and through possession. As a defender, Haaland's understanding with De Bruyne results in complex passes for the defense, so we attempt to break this connection and understanding." He continued: "We know we can overcome them. We need to be consistent for 90 minutes because we know everything can change in a matter of seconds."

Varane, who spent ten trophy-filled years at Real Madrid, believes United is developing a winning mentality again. He said: "We need to be positive; we are on the right track. But the most important thing is to believe and have faith in that." Coach Erik ten Hag’s team aims to conclude their season with significant success after winning the EFL Cup.
