Houthi: Our Military Operations Impose Severe Restrictions on Israeli Ports

The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, confirmed that the Israeli economy has suffered significantly since Sana'a announced the decision to prevent ships associated with Israel from passing. He stated: "According to the enemy's acknowledgment, our armed forces' operations have led to a near-total closure of the Ashkelon port. This port used to receive about 7 million tons of goods and products, and it also exported large quantities. The food supply chains for the enemy, which used to pass through the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, have stopped by 70%. Prices of goods in the enemy's markets have increased by 30-50% after it was forced to divert its supply routes through the Strait of Good Hope." He continued: "Operations at sea have led to a total reduction of the entity's imports of products by 25% in recent months. Insurance companies for Israeli and American vessels have begun requiring additional payments of up to 50%, which is a percentage of the ship's value itself. The enemy's economy rating has declined following its aggression against Gaza, and the successful operations in the Red Sea represent a significant achievement and a true victory." He pointed out that the movement's operations "targeted this week ships associated with the Americans and a ship linked to the Israeli enemy. American airstrikes this week reached 40, most of them in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, with some in Saada." He concluded: "We tell all countries to leave the British, who are subservient to the Americans, alone, and let the Americans be on their own. We also commend all countries in the world that have a clear voice witnessing that the operations in the Red Sea are related to the situation in Gaza."
