Retired military personnel gathered in front of the Beirut port and the TVA building as part of their announced movement today, Tuesday, to close public administrations in demand of salary and wage adjustments. Reports indicate severe traffic congestion starting from Lebanon Casino along the highway extending to Beirut. In the north, retired military personnel from various branches set fire to tires this morning, along with retired staff from public administrations and the Ministry of Education, in front of the Central Bank branch in Tripoli, where they staged a sit-in, as well as at Nour roundabout and on the Palma highway, which led to the closure of the southern lane heading to Beirut.
