The government of Burkina Faso stated in a report today, Thursday, that "the death toll from the bus accident near the town of Keniaba in southern Mali on Tuesday has risen to 40," adding that "a number of its citizens are among the dead." The Malian Ministry of Transportation had mentioned on Tuesday that at least 31 people had died when a bus fell from a bridge into a river while heading to Burkina Faso.
