Abu al-Hassan Talks About "Significant Security Flaw"

The secretary of the "Democratic Gathering" bloc, MP Hadi Abu al-Hassan, pointed out that "there is stagnation despite the appreciated Qatari efforts. It is notable that external conditions seem open to finding solutions while the internal Lebanese path is closed, and the solution can only be achieved through dialogue among the Lebanese components." He added in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon": "When the term of Army Commander General Joseph Aoun ends, there will be no Chief of Staff to replace him, thus there is a significant flaw at the security level as well." He indicated that "it is necessary for us to make a significant decision despite all the minor conflicts that hold no value to agree on a name to elect a president for the republic."
