The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Saturday: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to track and arrest drug dealers and traffickers in various regions of Lebanon, information was obtained by the Central Anti-Drug Office in the Judicial Police Unit regarding the activities of a drug dealer in the Airport Road area. As a result of the follow-up carried out by the office's personnel, his identity was established, revealing that he is named A.B. (born in 1976, Lebanese).
On February 6, 2024, after monitoring and tracking, one of the office's patrols, supported by a force from the special unit, executed a well-planned ambush that led to his arrest while he was in a "Golf" vehicle, accompanied by a person named B.N. (born in 1999, Lebanese). Upon searching them and the vehicle, a quantity of drugs divided and prepared for distribution was found inside, consisting of 46 packets of cocaine and a bag containing hashish, as well as a sum of money resulting from drug sales." Investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
