Army: Pascal Suleiman Killed by His Abductors

In an update regarding the case of the abduction of party official Pascal Suleiman, the Lebanese Army stated: "Following the situation of the abductee Pascal Suleiman, the army's intelligence directorate was able to apprehend most members of the Syrian gang involved in the kidnapping. The investigation revealed that the abductee was killed by them during their attempt to steal his car in the Jbeil area, and they transported his body to Syria." The statement added: "The army command is coordinating with the Syrian authorities for the transfer of the body, and investigations are continuing under the supervision of the public prosecution." It is noted that upon the spread of the news, tensions rose in the Jbeil area, particularly concerning cars with Syrian plates.
