During a celebration marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, the head of the Scholars' Meeting in Tyre and its region, Sheikh Ali Yassin al-’Amili, stated that "Lebanon, with its triad principle, is a model to be emulated on various levels, especially in unity and sovereignty." He added, "The pressure on Lebanon is intensifying, particularly regarding economic issues, displaced persons, and political vacancies. These crises are being exacerbated by Western embassies in hopes of forcing Lebanon to comply with American conditions, which will not happen. Our triad principle is invincible and unyielding." He stated, "We will not accept deviance infiltrating our society under the guise of freedom; it is a poison hidden in honey. We affirm that this inhumane project will find no foothold in our community, and the message of love, peace, and unity preached by the Prophet Muhammad, and before him Prophet Jesus, and all prophets, will prevail over the world. The repulsive schemes of the Zionist-American project, related to deviation and moral and cultural disintegration, will vanish."
