Terrifying footage captured the moment a truck fell from a bridge in South Africa due to fierce winds. The storm wreaked havoc in several areas of the Western Cape over the weekend, uprooting trees, dangerously dropping branches on built-up areas, and ripping off building roofs.
The video showed a harrowing moment on the N1 highway bridge, near the Huguenot tunnel, about 40 miles east of Cape Town. The frightening incident was recorded by someone traveling in a car behind the truck, which began to sway close to the edge of the bridge due to the strong winds. Suddenly, the truck tipped completely over the bridge’s railing, overturned, and fell onto the side of the bridge.
A photo taken later from the side of the bridge showed the destroyed trailer, with the cargo it was carrying spilling into the valley below.
