A video circulated on social media shows the impact on some electricity transmission lines as they fell to the ground. The Saudi Electricity Company stated via its Twitter account that Hafr Al-Batin and its neighboring areas experienced heavy rains and strong storms last night. Maintenance teams rushed to fulfill their duties amid difficult weather conditions to ensure service continuity and restore it for those affected by the downed transmission towers. The Hafr Al-Batin area was affected by downdrafts, resulting in a wave of thick dust and temporarily near-zero horizontal visibility, followed by rainfall. The area is expected to continue experiencing cumulonimbus thunderclouds in the coming hours.
