# Russia Foils New Ukrainian Attempts to Infiltrate Its Territory

The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Saturday, that Russia has thwarted several Ukrainian attempts to infiltrate its territory, marking the latest in a series of assaults reported in recent days. The ministry stated that the infiltration attempts were carried out by "armed and sabotage groups" from Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry declared that "Ukrainian forces suffered a crushing defeat during their attempt to cross the border near the Belgorod and Kursk regions." In its statement, the ministry indicated that "in the Ukrainian areas adjacent to the Belgorod and Kursk regions, Russian units inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian forces and their military equipment."

The ministry added that attacks and attempts to breach Russian territory were repelled through sabotage and reconnaissance groups affiliated with the Ukrainian militants. It noted that the targeting of these groups, which were preparing for an attack, occurred in the town of Popovka in the Sumy region of Ukraine, adjacent to the towns of Spodaryushino and Kozinka in the Belgorod region.

The statement clarified that "as a result of airstrikes and artillery fire, Ukrainian forces suffered losses of up to 30 soldiers, three tanks, two armored combat vehicles, and one Czech combat vehicle."
