Meeting Between Egyptian and New Zealand Foreign Ministers

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met today, Monday, with New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters, who is currently visiting Cairo. The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, as well as addressing several regional and international issues of mutual concern, primarily the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, efforts to reach a permanent and immediate ceasefire, and the introduction of humanitarian aid to the people of the area. The two sides also discussed the Sudanese crisis, the situation in Libya and Syria, and developments in the Red Sea region and their implications for international shipping and trade.
