Finance: Possibility of Delay in Public Sector Salaries

The Ministry of Finance announced in a statement that "the possibility of delay in the disbursement of public sector salaries is not related to the acceptance of the resignation of the Director of the Treasury and its accompanying matters, but rather due to a malfunction in the electronic systems in the ministry, which the relevant departments at the electronic center are working intensively to fix as quickly as possible." It commended "the role of the Court of Audit, which hastened to remove the obstacles and hindrances facing the operations of the Central Bank by approving the signature of the acting Director of the Treasury, Ms. Rana Karam."
