Russian news agencies reported that the National Anti-Terrorism Committee stated that Russia is conducting a "counter-terrorism operation" in the southern Dagestan region and has arrested three individuals this Sunday morning. Russia is currently on high alert following a shooting incident inside a concert hall in Moscow on March 22, which was the deadliest attack in the country in 20 years, resulting in the deaths of at least 144 people. The committee stated on Sunday that "security forces arrested three bandits who were planning to commit several terrorist crimes, and during the search of the locations where the criminals were detained, automatic weapons, ammunition, and a ready-to-use explosive device were found."
