A doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip indicated today, Friday, that food and water are running low, and the supplies provided by the Israeli army are extremely limited. Dr. Ahmad Makhlalati told Reuters that Israeli forces continue to search the medical complex but have not found anything, noting that no infants have died in the hospital since the Israeli forces arrived. Makhlalati, a surgeon born in Ireland who trained in Cairo and practiced in London, stated, "The situation is absolutely terrifying; tanks and Israeli forces are moving inside the hospital area and throughout the hospital." He added, "The situation is extremely difficult. They are firing all the time everywhere." Israel claims that Hamas has a command center under the hospital, which the movement denies.
