Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi welcomed Emirati President Mohammed Bin Zayed on Saturday for a "brotherly meeting to discuss ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations and regional conditions, especially in the Gaza Strip," according to the official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency. The two presidents reviewed "a range of regional issues of mutual interest, particularly the intense efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and to implement humanitarian aid in quantities sufficient to alleviate the significant humanitarian suffering in the sector. They emphasized the necessity of activating the two-state solution as a means to achieve justice, security, and stability in the region."
The Emirati President arrived in Cairo today on a "brotherly visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt." Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, he was warmly welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi, as stated by the Emirates News Agency (WAM). During a brief respite in the VIP lounge, the Egyptian President welcomed his Emirati counterpart and the accompanying delegation, exchanging congratulations on the occasion of Ramadan and friendly discussions that reflect the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples.
The Emirati President is accompanied during the visit by a delegation that includes Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council Ali bin Hamad Al-Shamsi, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Investment Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, a member of the Executive Council from the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, His Excellency Jassem Mohamed Buaatabah Al Zaabi, Head of the Municipalities and Transport Department in Abu Dhabi, member of the Executive Council Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al Sharfaa Al Hamadi, Head of the President's Office for Strategic Affairs Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Council of Advanced Technology Research Faisal Al-Bannai, and the UAE Ambassador to Egypt Maryam Al Kaabi.
