Forty-five people died today, Thursday, when a bus fell from a bridge and caught fire in Limpopo province, South Africa. The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) reported that "45 people were killed and others were seriously injured after their bus lost control, fell from a bridge, and caught fire on a mountainous route between Mokopane and Marken in Limpopo." The station quoted South Africa's Minister of Transportation, Sindisiwe Chikunga, stating that "as a result of the bus accident, only one girl, eight years old, survived and was taken to the hospital, while another woman died on her way to the hospital." She added that an investigation is underway to determine the precise cause of the accident, according to the statement.
