Ministerial Session on Friday to Discuss Banking Law

A statement was issued by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers: "The Prime Minister is in the process of calling for a session of the Council of Ministers at 3:30 PM on Friday, February 23rd, with a sole agenda item, which is the draft law concerning the conditions of banks in Lebanon and their reorganization, previously distributed to the ministers." The statement added: "His Excellency is also in the process of calling for another session on Thursday morning, February 29th, 2024, with an agenda to be distributed later. Please confirm your presence in Lebanon and attendance on the mentioned dates in order to issue the official invitation if the quorum is met." It continued: "A reminder to the ministers to provide us with their comments on the draft law regarding the situation of banks within the next two days at most, so that they can be compiled into a single document and distributed before the session for discussion."
