British Maritime Authority Receives Report on Incident South of Aden, Yemen

The British Maritime Trade Operations received a report today, Tuesday, about an incident 82 nautical miles south of the city of Aden, Yemen, and stated that authorities are investigating the matter. The maritime authority reported that the captain indicated two explosions occurred near his commercial vessel, 82 nautical miles south of Aden, and that both the ship and crew are safe. The authority noted in an email that authorities are investigating the incident. The Houthi group has been attacking ships in the waters off the country for months in solidarity with the Palestinians against the Israeli campaign in Gaza.
