U.S. and British Airstrikes Target Yemeni Al-Jabana Area

U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed today, Friday, that the United States has successfully struck three Houthi missile sites that were preparing for launch and posed an imminent threat. Kirby also stated that the Houthis "still have some offensive capabilities." He noted that this attack was the fourth preemptive strike by the U.S. military in recent days against missile platforms that were ready for launch.

Houthi-affiliated channel "Al-Masirah" reported today that the United States and Britain carried out two airstrikes in the Al-Jabana area of Al-Hudaydah city in western Yemen. These strikes are part of the international response to the Houthis following their missile launches targeting vessels sailing in the Red Sea.

Earlier today, Houthi leader Ali Qahoum stated that ships and military presence in the Red Sea will be in the crosshairs, referencing the group's attacks on vessels in the area. Qahoum added that "if the United States, Britain, and Israel expand their attacks, the Houthis will correspondingly broaden their operations, and their interests will be directly targeted."
