Horrific Crime Shakes Ashrafieh Area, Security Forces Respond

The Ashrafieh area witnessed a gruesome crime involving a man in his seventies as the victim, along with his wife who sustained bruises and injuries. It was reported that two individuals entered the home of Nazih Turk in the Sioufi area of Ashrafieh, facilitated by a Syrian domestic worker residing with the elderly couple, and proceeded to steal its contents while assaulting the homeowner and his wife. They then fled with the worker to an unknown location. The man and his wife were rushed to the hospital, where he soon succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary investigations indicate that the thieves spoke with a Syrian accent and their aim was theft; however, the homeowner could not withstand the blows he received and passed away.
