Hans Flick, the former head coach of the German national team, has taken a step closer to potentially replacing Xavi Hernandez as the coach of Barcelona. Xavi confirmed his departure from Barcelona next summer, making Flick one of the leading candidates according to Joan Laporta, the president of the Catalan club.
According to "Catalonia Radio," Flick has recently made several inquiries regarding taking on the role of Barcelona's coach for the upcoming season. It was noted that Flick has asked about the work environment at Barcelona and the club's staff, as well as inquiring about the best neighborhood to live in within the city.
Additionally, many reports indicate that Laporta is attempting to persuade Xavi Hernandez to reconsider his decision to leave and remain with Barcelona for another season. Also on the list of candidates to coach Barcelona are Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) and Thomas Tuchel (Bayern Munich).
