Arrest of Suspect in Oil Product Smuggling in Karbala

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Friday, the arrest of a suspect involved in smuggling oil products in Karbala. According to a statement from the ministry, "the Sixth Energy Police Brigade arrested a suspect in the holy province of Karbala and seized his vehicle loaded with oil products in violation of the law and without official approvals." The statement added that "the suspect and the seized items were handed over to the Oil Police Station, in preparation for the completion of investigative procedures, and the suspect will be presented before the competent investigating judge to take necessary legal actions."
