Domestic disputes occur in every household, and both parties should pay attention to their words and ideally take some time to think before reacting when conflicts escalate. However, what happened today in Sohag Governorate, Egypt, went beyond all limits, as a husband threw his wife from the third floor due to ongoing disputes between them. A housewife in her late twenties suffered a gash to the upper right side of her forehead after her husband assaulted her and threw her from the third-floor balcony, due to familial disagreements in the Gerga Police Department in southern Sohag.
The incident began with a verbal argument between the husband and wife over familial issues, which escalated into a physical altercation. He pushed her from the third-floor balcony, resulting in injuries to various parts of her body and a cut on the right side of her forehead. She was transferred to Sohag University Hospital.
The events of the incident unfolded when the Sohag Security Directorate received a notification from the central hospital indicating that a woman named "Azza," 19, a housewife, had arrived with a cut on her forehead and bruises on her body. When questioned, she stated that while she was at home, a verbal argument occurred between her and her husband, "H. J. K.," 33, a laborer, over familial issues that escalated into a physical confrontation. During this altercation, she lost her balance and fell from the third-floor balcony of their marital residence.
She accused her husband of pushing her, causing her injuries. The suspect was apprehended, and during questioning, he admitted to the allegations for the same reason, and a necessary report was filed.
